About Me

Growing up in the city of Philadelphia I saw a need for mental health services. It was when I became aware of it in my own family that I was then inspired to educate myself in the realm of psychology and mental health. Having learned myself of what others where going through, I grew in the capacity of understanding the human mind as a passion. I also developed seeing an opportunity to help others. I then from an AP Psychology course in high school went forward in education and career to be here today in the capacity I am to serve you.

I’m invested in providing counseling/therapeutic services to help others. I received my Masters in Clinical Counseling from Eastern University. I soon after attained licensure as a professional counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania. I’ve worked in various settings from psychiatric hospitals, programs to even working one to one with kids in schools. I assist with a wide range of topics considering myself a generalist. My counseling style is very person-centered and I favor utilizing CBT, which grants me with a wide variety of various techniques to provide in addition to educate and empower people.

  • Counseling can address a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, life transitions, trauma, and more. Whether you're facing specific challenges or seeking personal growth, counseling can be beneficial.

  • The duration of counseling varies depending on your unique needs and goals. Some people find that a few sessions are sufficient to address their concerns, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy. During your initial session, you and your counselor can discuss the appropriate duration and establish a plan that suits your needs.

  • If you're experiencing emotional distress, struggling with a specific issue, or simply seeking personal growth, counseling can be helpful. It provides a non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings, and a I can offer guidance and support along the way.

  • The first counseling session, often called an intake session, is an opportunity for you and I to get to know each other. I will ask questions about your concerns, background, and goals for therapy. You can also discuss any questions or expectations you have regarding the counseling process.

  • Yes, counseling is confidential. I am bound by professional ethics and legal obligations to maintain the privacy of your sessions. However, there are some exceptions to confidentiality when there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. I will explain the limits of confidentiality during your first session.

  • Individual therapy focuses on one-on-one sessions between you and the therapist. Couples therapy involves working with you and your partner to address relationship issues and improve communication. Family therapy involves sessions with multiple family members to improve relationships and resolve conflicts.

  • Therapy sessions are typically scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Consistency and regularity in attendance can enhance the effectiveness of therapy. However, session frequency can be adjusted based on your specific needs and availability, and this can be discussed with your therapist.

  • Therapy session are $150 a session and insurance holders can schedule a session here

  • Therapy can be just as effective if not more effective and convenient done online. Due to licensure if your outside of Pennsylvania sessions are considered coaching.
